According to Weekly Shone Jump today, a vocalist from a group which sang for One-Piece debuts as a soloist.
Santos Anna from Bon-Bon Blanco, 20 years old, finally releases single titled 'Lucky Tune' on May 28th. From this single, she becomes just 'Anna' again, and it seems this single is released from Geneon Entertainment, different label from Bon-Bon Blanco.

Really??
Different from 2 years ago, now I am just a man who used to love her and her group, not a worshiper of the group's music. But it's a wonderful news that one of the most talented vocalists in Japan buried underneath Akihabara was finally excavated and rescued from the hell.
In addition, it's just an opinion from an ex-fan and it may hurt active fans, but personally I think, musically, Bon-Bon Blanco has already done all the things they can do as idol musicians. Bon-Bon Blanco and its composers have already cultivated the field of Latin-rock-esque music. So, it is very good that this prodigy is released from the homeland and can explore the other world.
As far as my knowledge on Miss Santos is concerned, she is now interested in hip-hop and R&B, so if her interest is reflected to this new single, it must be great. In addition, as far as I listened her covers of 'Story' from AI and 'I'll be there' from Janet Jackson, she has already demonstrated she can do well in R&B field. If she sings exciting R&B like the one from SOULHEAD or Crystal Kay in this single, then I may become her man again and begins 'Idolizing St. Anna ver.2' as santos30.(...the fact I turn 30 soon shocks me a bit, though. )
But....at the first moment I was delighted and could imagined the wonderful future of this lady, but the when I looked at the next page of this article from Shonen jump, I became pessimistic again. Actually, the new single from St. Anna is a theme of this manga-anime, To Love-ru...

It looks she has to be trapped in Akihabara-Territory field again and this single may become boring one to me as well as Hinoi Asuka's solo.
But I still believe recent trend of Japanese music industry is 'genuine talents and their efforts get what they deserve', as Shota's greatest success demonstrated. Even if the song is designed for hentai anime, there is still a chance she shows her greatest talent. And recently, anime-songs do not always reflect the theme of the music. (For example, 'To all the dreamers' from soul'd oud is orinigaly the one for an anime for kids.)
Not as a fan, but as a senpai, who graduated her university before she, I wish the 'Lucky Tune' is the great song and it'll become a literal 'lucky tune' for her career,
