X Japan, a legendary Japanese rock group, the origin of all v-kei bands in Japan, will hold a tribute concert for its deceased member, hide, in May. However, According to Yukan Fuji, this concert was rejected by the ex-Prime Minister,
Koizumi Junichiro.
Koizumi loves a song from X Japan, 'forever love', and he used the song for a campaign for the election in 2005. This unexpected usage of a pop song for election campaign (*as far as I know, it must be the first case in Japanese political history) attracted the young people's attention at that time.
In addition, hide is from Kanagawa prefecture as well as Koizumi, and his families are supporters of Koizumi since his father Koizumi Junya's generation. Thanks to this connection, when the memorial museum of hide was built in 2000, Junichiros selected the location of this museum, and attended to its opening ceremony.
Then, members of the group contacted with former Prime Minister X Japan fan, and tried to invite him to the memorial concert. However, Koizumi and his brains refused the invitation to the concert.
Why? Koizumi's office just answers it doesn't know about it, but some informed sources say, it's because of Koizumi's policy.
Last year, when former Prime Minister resigned, Koizumi wouldn't run for the Prime Minister regardless of the earnest requests from other members of the Liberal Democratic Party. To become Prime Minister again was against his policy, or aesthetics that to retire perfectly at the proper time is more beautiful than to hold on the position and the power. So, Yukan Fuji concludes, he can't forgive X Japan which was reorganized shamelessly.

It's a beautiful tale, but...
Is it true story?? I think it's too good to be true. It must be true that Koizumi won't run for Prime Minister again for his policy, unless something very unexpected might happen, like invasion from China or North Korea or something.
However, meanwhile, I remember he frequently invited a members of X Japan, Yoshiki, to some governmental ceremonies while his reign (for example, the opening of Aichi International Exposition). And whenver Koizumi met Yoshiki, he asked Yoshiki to reorganize X Japan, persistently. So, I don't think Koizumi reflected himself on X Japan and thought X Japan's reunion is not beautiful.
Maybe the reason why he doesn't go to X Japan reunion concert is just because he wasn't invited actually, nor he doesn't like to be exposed to the public again as a half-retired person.

When we research the history, it's very important to tell fabricated 'episodes' from the 'historical evidences.' The fact Koizumi had been waiting for the reunion is the historical evidence, and the tale he refused the invitation from reunited X Japan is the episode.
But common people prefer the beautiful and beneficial episodes which can be used as a model of our life to the boring historical tales, and as a result, historical evidences disappear and only beautiful fictions remain. For example, how many stories of Alexander the Great did happen in reality 2300 years ago?
I guess this episode of Koizumi and X Japan can be handed down to the next generation as a beautiful retire of a famous politician to remonstrate ugly old powerful people. The historical evidence will just disappear, but It seems now I could witness the exact moment the true history was distorted and beautiful fiction substitute for it. That's the evidence I'm living in this era, so I'm happy for that.
Maybe the real reason is that Koizumi has "moved on" from X-Japan. Who knows, he might be more interested in listening to Namie or Orange Range now. XD XD
I remember Koizumi is just mugged-up fan, who knew about X-Japan at Kohaku. So, it may be true he has already found another group to support.
And another my thought is Koizumi has already half-retired, so he doesn't need to flatter to young generation anymore.
So, he may be just enjoying the music he really loves, operas, or enkas lol.
