In the previous entry, I suggested Aoyama Thelma as a substitute for a social function of girl singers. If she or other adult women who are over 20 can become a remedy for our tired society instead of genuine kids, we won't have to depend on U15 girls, even after anti-lolicon porn law was set.
And now, at the same time, we will have to worry about the endangered culture called idol business itself. Some may say it is not necessary, it is just a creepy perverted culture, so just ban and destroy. But in a long run, I think it should be preserved for the future.
For example, remember
Kabuki. When it was started around 16th century as
Kabuki Odori(dance), this Japanese traditional play was seductive dancing and play performed by sexy women. It was a part of sex industry, just like Kyabakura today.
In Edo Era, the government at that time forbid the play performed by women because it was related to prostitution. But people who liked the dancing or play itself didn't give up, and continued Kabuki with pretty boys, just like Johny's concerts today. Soon, the ruthless government forbid the boy Kabuki again because there was a homosexual point, but people didn't give up again, and developed it until the realm of art, performed by men. And now, needless to say, 400 years later, Kabuki has become one of Japanese sophisticated traditional cultural products, as well as Sumo wrestling or geisha.
So, no matter how it looks stupidly today, nobody can say idol culture won't become the sophisticated art in the 30th century. At least, idol culture is unique. Especially, the very unique style of idol performance –
the dance with pop music, which emphasizes the cuteness of young girls can't be seen any other countries in this world. Any cultural uniqueness should be preserved, otherwise, the world will be invaded by commercialism and American Empire.
But who can preserve and protect this tradition?
Of course, Hello Project or AKB48 is still very popular in Japan, and they have already succeeded commercially. And idol culture itself is being sharpened up among them. However, it seems they are depending too much on true loliconess recently. When the Idol Dark Age, the time the women under 20 years-old can't perform on the stage with sexiest costumes comes, fans won't follow them, and these troupes will have to disband themselves.
Then, I'd like to recommend,
Perfume. What we need is more drastic approach, just like Kabuki in early days. If one style is forbidden , just create something similar but new. And I think Perfume can do it.
Today, they dropped a new album 'Game' today on April 15th, and in this album, we can see the magnificent futuristic style of idol culture - which will be able to survived, even after all child related things disappear from this country.

According to some research, the people who were waiting for this album most was the
men in their thirties. ... Now I have to admit, I'm one of this generation. Although I'm not so interested in idol music recently, Perfume was the exceptional. Certainly, I was longing for the release of album since I heard the news.
After I listen this album twice, I realized it is very natural the people over 30 can become interested in Perfume, musically, not loliconally. There are a lot of references from the music our generation( or more elder) used to listen. Especially, I was impressed by #2, 'Plastic smile', which reminded me of 80s techno pop and 70s disco together. Of course, our man in Shibuya (maybe), Nakata Yasutaka is spending his tremendous talent on this album, and making these references more sophisticated futuristic sounds just as he does for his group, capsule.
But at the same time, I have to think, Perfume is becoming too similar to capsule. In early works, other lyricist Kinoko was writing the lyrics, so there were apparent borderline between Perfume and capsule. But in this album, all songs and lyrics are penned by Yasutaka, and arranged by himself. If Yasutaka replace a-chan's distorted voice with Koshizima's, I think not so many listeners will notice at the difference.
Maybe only the point differenciate perfume from other Yasutaka works like capsule or coltemonika is how their songs are played at a live concert. The limited edition of this album include DVD with the live version of 'Polyrhysm' and 'SEVENTH HEAVEN', and we can see that exactly.
When I watched this DVD, I was just surprised, because
they are still idols, and nothing has been changed from when I knew them well. Their style, and cutest choreography and short pants were still intact.
And what I said to myself then was..
Damn, Kashiyuka and Nocci are still too cute!!!

(Don't ask me about a-chan.)
As far as I remember, they are over 19 years, but their looks and behavior on the stage seemed to me the one from U18 ones, just like Aoyama Thelma's voice. Especially, I realized the goodness of idol choreography, which emphasizes the cuteness of girls.
So, in this album Perfume showed us the possibility that idol music ,idol style itself, can be performed by O20 women, and they can form idol culture, very naturally. And these very cute, traditional idol styles are combined with Nakata Yasutaka's fashionable sense, and their haromony is createing their own very unique world.
Then let's go back to today's theme. Even after U15, U18 or U20 idol culture was forbidden and destroyed by the Japanese government today, Perfume and Nakataka will be able to survive just as they demonstrate in this album. And they will pass down the trace of idol culture to the next generation. Just like Kabuki odori (dance) becomes artistic kabuki, bizarre idol culture is now becoming one kind of art or culture, called Perfume.
In Part2 of this L.T.U. series, , I mentioned about the sin of idol music – as a catalyst of pedophilia. However, from ancient days, society needs girl's voice , not for sexual reason, but just as a symbol of divinity. The high-tone and perfect singing of girls have a power to provide the people surreal and religious feeling.
Especially, Japan has been always on depending of this function of young girls. After they lost everything after WW2, it was the greatest enka singer Misora Hibari ,
9 years old at that time that encouraged people who were struggling with the difficulties. When Japan was distressed by recession after collapse of Bubble economy in late 90s, one genius girl called Utada Hikaru
15 years old appeared and also encouraged people. And there had been idol groups which encourage people who suffer from sexual handicaps.
Not only Japan, I think this tendency and the function of young girl voice (sometimes boy's) are common in all societies from all cultures. In medieval Europa, there were boy soprano singers who kept their pitch by castration, castrati. In gospel, there are a lot of boy and girl singers. And I guess Michael Jackson in Jackson 5 was in charge of this function.
So, no matter how anti-loliconists try to forbid them, there is a right, not perverted, social reason to require voices from girls. When they find themselves in time of trouble, people can be healed and encouraged by girl singers. But after the doomsday, or
'Idol Dark Age', when all child-porn related things including idol music were forbidden comes, what should we do?
Then, I'd like to recommend,
Aoyama Thelma, 20 years old. Some Jpop fan should have already known her name. Her second single, “Soba ni iru ne feat. SoulJa' became #1 on Oricon in February selling over 70,000 copies, and its full distribution from chaku-uta have already reached 1 million downloads. And Now she dropped her first album,
on March 26th.

2.My Dear Friends -Music Clip Directer's edition.
I was one of one million people who was enthralled by her second single, but it was not for 'sobani iru ne', but for its coupling, 'My dear friend.'
In the beginning, she sings in a very high tone voice as if to beg somebody.
'だってだって時はいつだって 飽きるくらいワガママだよって
なぜかあなたの側にいるだけで 心の声が響いてくる’
('cause, 'cause the time is always amazingly selfish,
Staying by your side, I can hear the echo of your voice in your heart. )
As I mentioned above, she is already 20, but Thelma in this part sounds to me like the one from girls, 17 years old or so. And then my fatherly instinct – not sexual one, of course was stimulated, and I liked Thelma and her way of singing. And this feeling occurred to me was exactly same when I listened 'Automatic' from Utada 10 years ago. My translation is bad as always, but original lyrics are also touching.
In this album, #5 'Last Letter' is this 'My Dear Friend' esque song. In this song, Thelma sings about the too sudden break-up with her older boyfriend.
'最後の手紙には「遠くから見守るよ」 納得いかなくて 何度も電話かけた
涙とまらないよ 今すぐ会いたいよ どこがいけかったの?こんなに好きなのに?'
(In the last letter, 'I'll see you off from afar'
Can't understand and called you for many times.
My tears won't stop, I wanna hear from you soon
what's wrong with me? I love you so much'
I know it's disgusting that 30 years old man says like this, but from a view of 'boyfriend' who experienced this kind of break-up before, this song touched my heart and recalled my sense of guilty, and I couldn't help shedding tears when I listened this song first.
Amazingly, almost all the lyrics are written by Thelma herself. Now even a 30-year-old can be shocked like this. It's natural she can move girls of her age,or more younger ones. And when you are a 30-year-old woman, or obasan, listen to #13 'mama he'. It's a message song from Thelma to her mother, but it's sure you'll be stimulated your motherly instinct. It's really touching song. I wish I were a mother and could have a child like Thelma.
Not only touching ballads, there are also more agressive songs of up-tempo like 'ONE WAY' and GOOD TIME REMIX. It's sure you can enjoy Thelma's widespread talent from this album.

Recently, after Koda's (social) death and Hamasaki's fall, it is said Amuro Namie is now going to become the JPOP Queen again, for the success of her latest single, '60s 70s 80s'. And Utada is still active as a adult female singer, although she had already lost her mystic charm as a girl singer. But where's the next generation? It looks thanks to the government of avex for a decade, it looks last 10 years couldn't produce any younger singers.
Then, I think, potentially, Thelma can become the next big thing from younger generation. And I have to emphasize her charisma, or divinity, as a girl singer.
Certainly, she is already 20 years old, elder than the debut of Misora (9) or Utada(15). But some sociological research shows Japanese (or, people in all modern society) become adults slower than previous generations. So, her relative position(20) in Japanese society might be same as Utada 10 years ago, or Misora 60 years ago. So, maybe the social function of 'girl singer' will be taken over to the O-20 singer like her, even after the 'Idol Dark Age.'
Anyway, it looks one genius singer, who sings attractively and writes greatet lyrics appeared in JPOP, after a long time, maybe after Utada. Without arguments or logics, I'll recommend this album and Thelma, as a music lover. Just enjoy it.
This is a story of over 10 years ago. I was a typical virgin boy who had heavy desire for sex, but doesn't have enough courage and chance in reality. All I could do is just to console myself with hentai manga, as many boys of that age do.
This also happens to a virgin boy often, too , but I thought I was a genius at that time, and devote myself into reading books beyond my power – like Gilles Deleuze, Michel Foucault, without understanding them deeply. I thought my classmates who were listening B'z or Southern All Stars are just baka, and listening like Nirvana or Nine Inch Nails instead.
By the way, I had a relative, who is elder than me and was university student at that time. She was living alone separate with her family to go to university near my house, and she often visited my home and we eat dinner together.
This relative sister was a suitable target for me to boaster the greatness of my knowledge, which couldn't be understood by my stupid classmate. And whenever she visits my home, she kindly kept me company over my bragging. Whenever she said 'Sugoi!' and admired me, my little pride was rescued,. But now I can think as an adult, she was just kind and just thought I'm a baby who speaks the language which it just leaned seconds before.
But the relationship didn't continue forever. One day, my families were out, and I thought it's a good chance to console myself. And when I was doing the bad behavior, I was surprised by a voice from a woman. 'May I come in?' It was she.
I tried to put my pants on and conceal all the traces of what I was doing, but it was in vain. When she discoverd me in a room where ero mangas are scatterred, she chuckled and picked up one of hentai comics, and said;
'へー、君もこんなことに興味あるんだ?' (Heh, you are interesting in such a thing, too. )
All I could do was hanging down my head, and keeping silence. She browsed at the hentai comic and continued,
'ねー、本物には興味ないの? (Aren't you interested in the real matter?' )
Then she smiled suggestively, and dropped her skirt off.
'お姉さんが大人のカラダ、教えてあげる・・・ (I'll teach you about the adult woman's body.)
And...

This is a typical start of a hentai manga. One day, a young boy was found while he is masturbating by an adult woman – for example, an elder sister, a teacher, or a cousin like this story. And the woman stops him and lead him to theworld of realistic sex.
Not only comics, this plot is also used in other porns, and we can see a lot of this kind of situations in Adult Videos , too. Good example is famous
'あなたのオナニーたすけてアゲル' (Anata no onanie tasukete ageru, I'll help your onanie out) series. There are some variations.
'最高のオナニーのために'(saikou no onanie no tameni, for the best onanie), or
'アナタのオナニーのために' (Anata no onanie no tameni, For your onanie).
Some may say it's just a fiction, but now there is a hint to cure of the loliconess of this country. As the fact that this plot is popular even among hentai lolicon comics shows, when an attractive woman gives them a practical lesson to instruct the charm of adult human body, they may throw U15 idol items away.
The problems is human resources. Although there are tons of female anti-lolicon activists and the Diet members in this country , there aren't any attractive enough to become instructors. They are
usually ugly, sometimes beautiful like the ex-Director General of Defense Agency, Koike Yuriko-chan, but never young. If the current Diet women help a lolicon' masturbation, it'll become just a nightmare and trauma, and his loliconess will just get worse, and tons of U15 girls will raped to ease his pain.
However, now we have one candidate, who may be care of them with my Help-your-onanie method.
Fujikawa Yuri, 28 years-old member of a local assembly in Aomori prefecture. When she was discovered last year, her youth and beauty which we never experienced in Japanese modern political history raised a huge controversy, and last week, she finally debuted as a gravure idols in a magazine.

(article from Cyzo.)
http://www.cyzo.com/2008/02/post_371.htmlHer official site
http://www.fujikawa-yuri.com/Certainly, she is beautiful. If she were AV idol, she could become 'tantai'(solo) actress, who doesn't have to be gang-banged by 50 men at the same time. 15 at the utmost.
Now she is just concerned with local administration, and doesn't look interested in the Child-porn issue. But if she runs for the Diet and begins this kind of volunteer, she'll be the best lolicon training instructor.
Not only pictures, according to the article above, she is planning to release DVD to promote the local products from her town. Gravure + DVD. It sounds to me a road to the adult video.

*Just an image picture of this article. This doesn't concern with any persons in the world.
Now we had already finished two trainings. First,
we leaned that even a woman over 20 years old is attractive from a wonderful Akita beauty, Sasaki Nozomi-chan. Second,
we studied there are some kinds of music, sexy but the sexiness doesn't depend on loliconess.
In other words, we had already overcome two kinds of lolicon senses from five here – the sense of sight, and the sense of hearing.
It's easy and certain way to smash the other three lolicon senses one by one like Virgo Shaka from Saint Seiya or Yukimura from the Prince of Tennis does. But a serious lolicon patient may need more drastic treatment. So, today, we'd like to jump up to the higher level. Namely, let's start with Sex Sense... no, Sex Since, no, Six Sense. Imagination, or fantasy.
Lolicon Fantasy. Different from
Pegasus Fantasy which encouraged boys in 80s, Lolicon Fantasy is very harmful to children. When a boy meets a girl, they may have a vision of wonderful love like shojo-manga, and the real love may start there. However, when a lolicon meets a girl, the lolicon will spin a evil day dream, and the real crime may start there. We should stop those evil fantasies, and make them Final Fantasy.
As far as my experience is concerned, lolicon fantasy starts from exposure of a sexual part from a girl, hidden under her innocence. For example, when a girl puts on micro-mini-skirt, I am... no, lolicon is delighted imagining the thing under the skirt, or the thing under the pants, which is clean, and nobody on this planet has never seen and touched it before. And then, the target of lolicon desire appears , and lolicons go to Akihabara and pay 55,000 yens to see Skirt Hirari.
How can we resist to such a temptation? It's easier to say 'Just stop it!!' than to make them actually stop. We need some training. First, we should notice a very important fact;
Panties are not the clothes only for children. What a wonderful discovery?? Not only teens, but almost all attractive young ladies are also putting on kawaii panties and bra. (Forget about the fact that the old does the same, though) So, to give up such lolicon daydream, let's start with use a substitute from young women.
--
Fortunately, a lingerie model gives us a wonderful example for this training.
Ishida Yuko, 24 year-old lingerie model, debuts as a singer, and sings a song named 'Missin U', in her costume, lingerie.
Not only this promotional video, she sings a song in lingerie, at a a live concert!!
(Here are a lot of pictures from mainichi.) Imagine there's no clothes. It's easy if you try. No skirts over herself, above it only panties. It's a kind of too direct inference like Kiri-chinpo, but when we imagine how they and she will become after some natural physiological phenomenon during the live concert, it must be enough to substitute the lolicon fantasy we dream from the hot pants from teens.
In other words,
be more hentai, and enlarge your field, as large as Area 51 of Ichiro from Seattle Mariners. Then, you can find that lolicon fantasy is just a tiny part of true hentainess, and you can enjoy your life more productively.
--
*
By the way, seriously, I think this song 'Missin U' from Yuko is a great work, not for a hentainal reason, but musical reason. This song and her ability as a singer are beyond the level of average JPOP. In addition, needless to say, she is more beautiful than average JPOP singers
like Hamasaki something or Koda something or Otsuka something. To tell the truth, she is also known as 'JUAN', and have already released three songs as JUAN. It looks she couldn't become popular as a musician, but this 'missin' U', released on March 5th is used in a TV commercial of lingerieproduct named 'Koisuru Bra' (Bra in love) from Triumph. Then people will notice this beautiful woman who sings a song in lingerie and be surprised at her vocal like me. She may become another example of 2008 , the year 'genuine talents get what they deserve', and this 'missin' U' may become the first and last single Yuko has to sing in such a costume.
According to Mainichi , On 23rd, LDP decided to renew the current anti child-porn law. After this renewal, the simple possession of child-porn will become illegal, and the persons who own those product can be a criminal. The exact penalty on the possession is now under discussion, and LDP is also now considering to include the electric media in the subject of this law.
http://mainichi.jp/select/jiken/news/20080224k0000m040109000c.htmlFor the people who own those materials, this news must be a shock. It must be almost impossible that the police investigate the every single file in your computers, but just in case, if you are living in Japan and own such a kind of product, you'd better delete the files, as soon as possible.
However,
that's all, at this point. Fortunately, it looks the reality was more moderate than I'd bragged. LDP prolonged the argument on the banning of anime-porn or manga-porn until the next time, and of course, the child-like voices used in a porn anime are not concerned with this renewal. And of course again, the idol-music which makes lolicons erect were not included in this topic. I think it was only me in this world who thought of this phenomena.
Just like other many changes occur in this country, this change was taken place under the pressures from the United States. So, if LDP thinks this renewal of current anti-child porn law is enough to satisfy our suzerain, the governmental anti-loli activities may stop here, for a while.
...But
is this the true happy end? Personally, I don't think so.
Now in the Sodom of Akihabara, there are lot of loli-animes or mangas in which girls look like 8 year-old is fucked by pervert. The renewed law just let them go.
Not only 2D, but in the three dimension world, there are lot of borderline child-porns in which girls under 12 act like a prostitute, as many readers of this blog from ISA era know. And in fact, in some trial cases, this U-15 products are regarded as child-porn. So, it's nost strange LDP or other parties think of setting the exact definition of legal U-15 products and illegal ones.
Just like the real child-porn, there is a possibility that those U-15 materials can become a threat to children, even if it is not directly. As a member from the New Komeito is considering, there must be an argument on the enlargement of the definition of child porn somehow. Then, if Mr. Koizumi becomes the Prime Minister again and spent his passion to reform the Japanese sex system as he did to Japanese postal system, the worst scenario I drew may come true.
If it's not, after this law is set, the self-regulation of this industry will become more strict. Even under the current system, porn industry including anime and AV has a self-regulation system to sustain child-porn-like products. For example, in all AVs, we can't use the world '女子高生' (high school student girl), because of the letter '高' infers high school. Instead, '女子校生' (female school student)is being used. After anti-porn law becomes strict, this self-regulation may become more strict, too, and girls look like high school students in AV may be just described as 'girl' - or, 'woman.'
Anyway, so, I still think the wisest choice is to give up your lolicon interest, and overcome it somehow.
Can people live without children?' - of course, if human beings don't reproduce children anymore, it's the end of the our species. However, it's sure we can live without making love with children. For the people who needs some help, I'd like to continue this training program, and share the world I discovered after I overcame my loliconess.
I haven't received Game yet (it shipped today so I will get it on Friday hopefully), but I have been paranoid about Perfume sounding like Capsule the last couple of songs. I am a fan of both groups but I love Perfume for being Perfume, not because they sound like some other group! I want them to stay unique and fun...
And I don't care about what anyone else says. I love achan. lol
'Game' became #1 hit, as I posted in the latest one!!! But I don't think it's odd, this album deserves.
:Mr Waffle
I think 'Game' and 'Take me Takeme' are more capsuly ones, so you'll like them.
And the fact a-chan can be loved by a foreigner make me think about the double standard of beauty again... lol.
haha. Nocchi was my sort-of favourite until I met them. After that I started to like a-chan the most (but I don't really remember why).
I think she has a different sort of beauty. Like Umeda Erika from C-ute, she doesn't really look Japanese, but more... Middle Eastern? Mediterranean?* When I think of them like that, as 'exotic' (at least to me lol), I find them a lot more beautiful than if I just thought of them as normal Japanese girls. I don't know. I think I need to devote more time watching Perfume to figure it out. All in the name of study of course!
Nocchi is still utterly gorgeous. I can never say no to a girl with short hair. And to be honest I don't really find Kashiyuka to be attractive. She's so thin and fragile looking. She was wonderful in person at least lol
*she has the same sort of... I don't know... facial curves and structure that some girls from that area have. She sort of reminds me of a friend I have whose family came from Kuwait. It adds character when so many Japanese girls are stick thin and boring! I like unique girls... XD
I won't be surprised if you say Miss Umeda look like Middle Eastern, and a-chan also look like that.
Kashiyuka is just kawaii, as a small mammals like rats or hammsters. I don't like too thin and fragile girls either, but I think Kashiyuka is kawaii as such. I wanna get her in a cage and feed some sunflower nuts, if possible.
Perhaps one day wotagei too will "become one of Japanese sophisticated traditional cultural products". :)
@ GH
I guess you're right, she is adorable in that way. Though I'm not sure Japanese fans would be happy about you doing that lol
@ Gag Halfrunt
I'm still waiting for parapara to become a traditional Japanese dance. Then I can finally put the years I spent learning them to use outside of a games arcade. XD
On the subject of Kashiyuka looking like a rat or hamster, she actually keeps hamsters. :)
I couldn't figure out how to do a link, so I've entered as my URL a Perfume City fourm thread with a picture of one of her hamsters from a television show called HAPPY! that Perfume co-host.
: Gag Halfrunt
I haven't checked their blogs recently (It is becoming fanclub members' only), but I'm happy that the hamster could survive.
:Mr Waffle
Whether parapara will continue in the future is depending on avex's circumstance. If avex goes bankrupt, I think the boom won't occurr and it won't appear again lol.
As for wotagei dance, it depends on idol music itself. But it seems Perfume doesn't bring wotageis together to the next generation with technopop. So, to preserve wotageis, people may need another group.
@ gaijinheart
There's actually a whole thread on Perfume City about Kashiyuka's hamsters (link in the URL box as before). Knock yourself out with the kawaii...
^Ah, those hamsters are truely kawaii!! And I didn't know Kashiyuka began to keep new one. I only knew about Choro, never knew about Fu-kun.
Ok, I received the album today, and have listened to it three times (at work twice and driving home). I think the album is absolutely brilliant, one of the best of the year. However, it's also very much like Capsule... I am a little bit disappointed. I bought a Perfume album to listen to Perfume music, not Capsule! I hope in the future their songs can be a bit happier, not as dark and heavy as Capsule...
It's official: Kashiyuka is 17% hamster. :)
